Hi, I’m Lauren

Lauren Weiler is a writer, editor, and leader in digital editorial, covering health, fitness, travel, career, sports, and entertainment.

She joined The Cheat Sheet in 2016 as a writer and editor in the health and fitness vertical and has been covering news on Showbiz Cheat Sheet since 2018. Lauren is a longtime Survivor aficionado, going so far as to plan her own audition tape for the show. When she’s not writing about the latest news from the Jeff Probst universe as a Senior Writer for the online publication, she chases the latest on celebrity news, getting the behind-the-scenes stories from Christian Bale’s stunt double or speaking to Grammy-winning artist Timbaland about his latest project.

Celebrity news aside, Lauren spends her time working on her first novel, which is currently in its second draft. She’s written multiple chapbooks of poetry and prose and has had her work published in literary magazines, including Willard & Maple, from which she won their poetry award in 2013. She’s also been an opening poet for Buddy Wakefield and Clementine Von Radics.

Lauren is also a circus artist. She studied aerial arts at the New England Center for Circus Arts, Esh Circus Arts, and the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, and has performed with fire for over a decade. She currently teaches and performs on aerial rope and aerial silks in St. Louis, Missouri.
